Day 70........Land! Land!!!

It's a cloudy day here in Jebel Ali. We just got here a few short hours ago. There's nothing scenic to take pics of yet but I'm sure there will be some to share later on. I stopped in a store here in the "Sand Box" and found out electronics are much cheaper here than in WA. I already bought a 4.0Gig flash drive for AED261.00, that's 70 bucks. I'm hoping I can find a cheap mp3 player somewhere too.

France says "No more Laisses-Faire" regarding Iraq.

Cut and pasted together, this is what I'd like to see my hog look like eventually. I gave it a 2-up seat, blacked out air cleaner, chromed batt cover, fwd controls and stripped the HD off the tank. Too bad I can't order it from the factory that way.

Today the French Navy and the USN did a photo exercise. I didn't know that France had a navy at all, but here they are right alongside us doing what they do.

Their carrier looks like it's backward with the superstructure up forward, as apposed to our ships that are designed with it aft.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but French Destroyer sounds like an oxy-moron to me.

Davey Jones' Locker

Oh ja one thing's new I'm going to be an uncle again for the 3rd time, this time it's from my sister Steph. Her first. Very exciting indeed. In other news- we lost a plane yesterday afternoon(Ol' Davey has it now) but retrieved the pilot (who now has a lot of paperwork to fill out).

Straight from the streets of chaos and no pity....

I know what you're probably thinking from this picture....
......and no I'm not bored at all.
This second pic is from one morning when there was no border b/t the sea and the sky and the sea was about as glassy as I'll ever sea. Sea?

It's been over a month since the last blog I left here. A lot has happened the past 30+ days, just not in my little underway world. Nope. Not much changes out here folks. Here's a few new pictures however. Feast your hungry eyes on this pic of me showing the "8-mile side of R-Dog", in addition to some pictures of the water and more water. You may have guessed there's a lot of water where I've been hanging out lately.
